Nature Discovery Camp

Nature Discovery Camp is held each summer cost-free to participants, due to the generosity of donors to the Amanda Pierce Nature Fund.

Each day, campers come to the Red River Community House for a 3-hour session (morning or afternoon). During that time they enjoy a range of nature related activities. All campers receive a free t-shirt, water bottle, camp notebook, and more.

Dates for 2026: June 1 - 4

Younger Kids Camp @ 8:30 am - 11:30am each morning

For children ages 6 through 8.  (Must have completed 1st grade).

 

Older Kids Camp @ 12:30pm - 3:30pm each afternoon

For children ages 9 through 11.  

Arbor Day Celebration (for all Campers): June 4 @ 5-6pm

Join in our annual Arbor Day Celebration with town officials, RRCH volunteers, and Smokey the Bear, including planting a new tree in town!

Each session is limited to 12 children. Please email Jennifer if you have questions.

Field Trips

Campers will visit various locations around town to learn about nature in the mountains.

Butterfly Release
