Meet Our 2026 Activities Team

Tana and Doug McCormick have a long history with Red River. They both learned to ski here many years ago!

Tana and Doug have spent much of their adult lives working with children, from coaching little league and youth basketball, to leading youth groups at church.

When Doug retired from the fire department and Tana sold her business and retired in 2014, they bought an RV and traveled all across the US. Throughout the years, though, they kept finding their way back to Red River. Finally, they decided to just stay the entire summer, and they’ve been coming back yearly since.

Tana and Doug started volunteering at the Red River Community House in 2018, and have been more involved each year. They truly love giving back to this wonderful community, and helping families make lifelong memories. They are looking forward to an incredible summer!

2026 Activities Leaders

Taylor Joyner

Hi! My name is Taylor Joyner and I live in Athens, Georgia where I attend the University of Georgia as a Psychology major. Go Dawgs! I could not be more excited for my first year as a member of the Summer Activities Team for the Red River Community House. A few things about me, I adore a sunny day at the pool, Taylor Swift and Megan Moroney (or any country music), playing tennis, and laughing with friends. I can also recite all the US Presidents!

I have been visiting Red River for 10 years now, both in the summer and winter. Red River has always been a place where my family can come together and enjoy each other's company. I can proudly say that my family is the 2018 Fourth of July Parade Champion for Most Humorous Float. I cannot wait to make so many more incredible memories with new friends and family.

Landry Brown

Every young girl looks forward to summertime, and for me that meant participating in daily activities at the Red River Community House. I am Landry Brown, and I'm excited to lead nature programs and serve as an activity leader this summer!

For four generations, the Community House has meant so much to my family. Through the years, we've enjoyed square and line dancing, worship, crafts, and hiking, and well as Nature Discovery Camp and kids' activities. My favorite was always our 4th of July Games on the Lawn - the best memories come from the relationships we've shared! I'm grateful to help continue the mission of the Community House this summer.

I've enjoyed calling Red River home for the past two years. This autumn, I'll attend Amarillo College, majoring in horticulture and competing on the women's varsity cross country team.

Let's celebrate our great nation's 250th year with a fun-filled summer at the Community House!

Emma Hinkebein

Hey y'all, my name is Emma Hinkebein, and I'm from McKinney, Texas! I will be majoring in Agriculture Services and Development and minoring in either Agricultural Communication or Horticulture when I transfer to Tarleton State University this fall. I love photography (automotive photography), reading, sewing, flowers, working out, and anything outdoors, sports-related, and agriculture-related!

I'm so excited to be part of the RRCH Activity Team this summer, and although it's my first year on the team, I am not new to Red River and the surrounding areas! I have been coming to Red River for as long as I can remember, and it has a special place in my heart. Some of my favorite things to do at the community house are the flower walks and line dancing. On top of that, I love mountain biking around town and in Angel Fire, going to the farmers' markets in Taos and Questa, and seeing God's work everywhere I look. Fun fact, I have been in the Red River 4th of July parade for many years, baton twirling!

This summer, I want to show others the beauty of this town, I mean, they don't call NM the land of enchantment for nothing!
